Sun Tracks
Life is the flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of the buffalo in the winter.
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset..
....we shall be known by the tracks we leave behind.

Joe was awarded the Order of the Buffalo from the Kansas Hunter Education Instructor Society. This is the highest honor given by the KHEIS. Joe is the only teenager to receive this award. The junior program is no longer offered, KHEIS requires instructors to be at least age 21 before becoming eligible. His family still supports the Kansas Hunter Education Instructor Society.

Joe was killed in a car accident during lunch time at the end of our junior year.
